Hag’s Cauldron: can cause indigestion

A pot on your head, a questionable side effect, and a surprisingly useful mythical helmet. Meet Hag’s Cauldron in Slashin’.

Hag’s Cauldron in action: rats, forest creatures, and oozes discover its side effect. Video with game sounds and music.

The item description says “Can cause indigestion.” It leaves out the tactical benefits.

Hag’s Cauldron is a mythical helmet in Slashin’. It looks like a cooking pot because, well, it is a cooking pot. Wearing it can make your hero release a cloud of gas that damages nearby monsters.

In other words, farting is a combat mechanic.

A useful side effect

The clip above takes the cauldron through a rat-filled cave, a forest, and another cave full of oozes. The gas is an effect of the equipment: it can happen while you’re moving around, without pressing a dedicated skill button.

That’s the kind of item I like making. Finding better equipment is a big part of building your hero, and an unusual property gives you something to try out in the next fight. Sometimes it also gives your hero a pot to wear on their head.

Hag’s Cauldron’s item description, including the line “Can cause indigestion”.

There are plenty of numbers to compare when choosing equipment. With this one, it’s worth reading the small print too.
